He says the handle snapped off the mount, broke and became a sharp rough piece that ripped through her left hand and wrist. He says she has had many operations, but has yet to regain complete use of her hand, and has been left with blemishing scars, and faces continued medical care in the future. Filed in Will County, the claim requesting for an excess of $50,000 also mentions a manufacturer of tap handles. Giamanco says the lawyer for the Seattle business Taphandles informed him he is preparing an affidavit stating the business did not give tap handles to Two Brothers and Windy City, which installed the tap at Tom & Eddie’s. Giamanco says if that is the truth, Taphandles will be discharged from the claim. Giamanco states he decorative tap handle that snapped off was made of a porcelain-type material. “It is our hope that this matter will be quickly resolved, that Ms. Tinson will make continued progress towards a full recovery, and that these tap handles will ultimately be removed from the marketplace, so others are not injured in such a manner,” he says.
