Maurice Larry, is broadcasting to the public that he was never the boyfriend of Rashia Wilson, Tampa’s King Pin Tax Fraud.Rashia Wilson found herself on the authority’s radar after she posted multiple posts all over social media claiming to be stealing millions upon millions of the taxpayer’s money, and was at a later date, sentenced to 21 years in prison. Maurice, who was known for spending his stolen money on lavish things, was sentenced. His current sentence time isn’t known, but is speculated that it will be around 8-14 years. Larry's sentence was likely aimed to be a strong message to those that think they can commit tax fraud, and get away with it. These investigations are handled very carefully, and can also take a very great amount of time and effort to prosecute. Because of these factors, the prosecution will often go for a significant sentence to act as both a deterrent to others involved in similar activities and more or less as retribution for all the time invested. As the hearing took place, Larry’s attorney tried to claim that Larry did not come in contact with Wilson until a year after Wilson had committed the fraud. Also uncovered in a similar legal ordeal, Marterrance “Qat” Holloway was also currently under scrutiny for tax fraud. He was linked to a storage unit that contained lists of personal information containing over 1,000 names, also including many debit cards and other important financial records. The IRS since has formed an alliance with other law enforcements in order to prevent similar situations from occurring, and just keeping an eye on suspicious situations that may or may not pertain to tax fraud. Holloway and Larry, were free for a long 2 years after the tax fraud operation came to light, but were both arrested after for federal charges, and they both plead guilty. Local Tampa authorities claim that Larry, who is not a high school graduate, and who also has five young children, made it obvious that the money was illegitimate, judging by his luxurious cars, and constant flights to Miami and Las Vegas. If you are under investigation for tax fraud, as mentioned in this article, punishments are often severe because the government wants to deter these types of crimes.
