Did you know?
Dram shop laws in many states allow drunk driving victims and their families to sue the establishment that served alcohol to the drunk driver.
Dram shop laws differ by state, but all of them essentially say that a visibly drunk patron should not be served more alcohol. Furthermore, the staff at the establishment has the responsibility to stop drunk patrons from driving a vehicle afterwards. This applies only if they are aware that said patron has brought a vehicle and intends to use it.
