He also filed a lawsuit earlier this year in January to overturn a paternity judgment obtained in 1990 by his former wife Alejandra Jackson. To complicate matters some more, Alejandra Jackson was also married to Jermaine Jackson - another one of Jackson’s siblings, and they also have a child. Jermaine Jackson has also asked the Michael Jackson estate to pay off his pending child support dues to Alejandra. The story goes back to August 1989, when Alejandra filed a paternity lawsuit against Randy, claiming that Genevieve Jackson was their daughter. In his complaint filed in January 2012, Randy claims he was never served for this lawsuit. Alejandra got a default judgment of paternity in Dec 1990 with a $1,200 order for child support. Randy claims he never knew about the default judgment until July 2008, when county child support placed a levy on his back account. Instead, Randy claims that he and Alejandra agreed to a settlement in 1993 wherein she, their daughter Genevieve and Alejandra's other son Stephen Randall Jackson Jr. could stay at the Jackson Family compound in Encino, CA until both children were 18. Genevieve is now 22 while Stephen Randall Jackson Jr. is 19. In his complaint, Randy Jackson asks for the paternity judgment to be set aside. If not, the money he gets from the Michael Jackson estate could end up going to Alejandra because of the child support levy. The Los Angeles Superior Court judge has postponed the case three times, because it is not clear whether the case should be heard under his jurisdiction or in family court. Did you know? |
